
Diversitat’s Settlement Program provides information and referral service for Humanitarian entrants who have been in the country for less than five years. These services are offered in Geelong and Colac.
Casework Services
This program helps individuals and families access the correct information in regard to settlement issues including:
- Immigration
- Housing
- Health
- Education and schooling
- Employment
- Legal services
- Learning english
- Referrals to services
- Orientation
- Social support
Our program promotes networking, liaison and capacity building of mainstream services, to ensure they take culturally and linguistically diverse community needs and issues into consideration when planning service provision.
Who we work with
The target groups for Information and Referrals services includes:
- Permanent residents (refugees) who have arrived in the past five years as humanitarian entrants
- Family stream migrants with low English language proficiency
- Communities that require assistance to develop their capacity to organise, plan and advocate for services to meet their needs
- Dependents of skilled migrants, who have a low English language proficiency

This program is funded by the Department of Social Services.

Settlement Grants Program Drop in service
The Settlement Grants Program (SGP) provides a drop in service for urgent matters.
The service is available at the Northern Community Hub from 9.30 – 11am on a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
