Consumer groups call for crackdown on payday lenders

One of our Financial Counsellors travelled as part of National Day of Action with the Federation of Community Legal Centres, Consumer Action Law Centre and Financial Counselling Australia to speak to MP’s to bring forward legislation to encourage fairer practices by Payday lenders and Consumer Lease companies.
Diversitat’s Financial Counsellor’s role was to share clients stories as to the impact of predatory lending on them personally and financially.
