On Friday 7th October over 100 Diversitat clients joined over 200 Deakin University students and staff at the FEAST ON DIVERSITY event at Deakin’s Waurn Ponds campus. Organised by meDUSA (Deakin University’s Medical Students Association) and supported by Diversitat, the aim of the event was to bring together people from different backgrounds through sharing food and participating in sports, activites and performances.
The incredible spread of food was cooked by members of the South Sudanese, Iraqi and Iranian communities. Thank you to Tereza, Siham and Marziah.
The spontaneous and enthusiastic crowd was treated to performances by the Karenni Dance Group, Bollywood Dance Troupe, the Congolese Community Choir and Wathaurong performance groups.
