Gimme Shelter – Thank you!

Gimme Shelter was held on Friday 23rd June to raise funds for Geelong’s Refugee’s and Asylum Seekers through music and auctions.

The event was held at The Workers Club on Malop Street with people listening to some of the regions great musical talent including Sarah Carroll, Riflebirds,
Freya Josephine Hollick
and Dan Brodie.

Items that were auctioned off were generously donated from Geelong Cats, The Workers Club, The Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie, Nervermind and Real Music.

We like to give a MASSIVE THANK YOU to Rod Collins who organised this event. Rod called Diversitat a couple of months ago asking if he could put on an event celebrating musical talent whilst fundraising for Geelong’s Refugee’s and Asylum Seekers. Of course Diversitat said ‘Yes’ and with that came Rod’s passion for music and giving back to the community.

Well done Rod to a fabulous night and we look forward to many more!

Thank you to Phil Hines for capturing the night.
