Reconnect Students learning Life Skills

Earlier this year six students in the Reconnect Program completed a six hour introductory course in the area of Life Skills. The training was run in house and topics included:

  • Motivation, Confidence and Self esteem
  • Communication
  • Budgeting and Money Management
  • Life Path – Career Planning

The purpose of the Reconnect Program is to provide regular mentoring to students and help them enrol and complete accredited training. These students will continue to meet weekly to fortnightly with their mentors, who will work together to find the training that best suits the student’s strengths and interests, while also helping them address any other unmet needs.

The Reconnect Program is free for eligible young people and is funded by the Department of Education and Training. Read more about the Reconnect Program.
