Celebration of the last 12 months

On Thursday 16th November Diversitat celebrated the last 12 months with their Annual General Meeting.

Over 100 people attended the meeting listening to the introduction of new board members, financials, what Diversitat have achieved over the last 12 months, a guest speaker and celebration of awards.

Peter Doyle from Corio Bay Skiffs project, gave us an interesting insight of the project, how it brings communities together through building boats, skilling people, making friends and feeling part of the community. We were even graced with one of the boats parked just outside. Such a tremendous effort and we are looking forward to the next build.

33 certificates were awarded to Volunteers of the Year, Students of the Year, Employees of the Year, Staff Anniversaries and Geelong Ethnic Community representative milestones. Congratulations to all recipients!

As per Diversitat style, we celebrated the end of the meeting with lots of fantastic food and cultural music.

A massive thank you goes out the 9 Equip clients who volunteered on the night by gaining hospitality and event skills and to our fabulous photographer Phil Hines.
