A taste of Morocco at Diversitat Aged Support

On Friday 9th August the Diversitat Friday Meals Programm showcased flavours of Morocco with a traditional spiced Moroccon soup, a buttermilk and almond basbousa, and a Moroccan mint tea.

Approximetly fifty people from the Geelong community including students from Sacred Heart and people from MACS attended the lunch, letting the winter chill melt away with the soup staple which is used as a Moroccan Jewish tradition of breaking the fast of Yom Kippur.

Diversitat’s September Friday Meal, hosted on Friday 13th, will bring a Croatian feel to the Healthy Living Centre, with the cooking of a traditional Croatian main and desert.

If you would like to join us, simply RSVP to aged.support@diversitat.org.au or to 5222 27275 by Thursday 12 September. Cost is only $10 and includes main, desert and a fruit punch.
