The new Healthy Living Centre is starting to take shape, with the construction phase now over 50 % complete, you really get a feel of the design and flow of the building.
The two storey centre will be home to the Aged Support community groups providing 5 light filled activity rooms offering a range of programs and services. The expected completion date is end of August with the centre opening anticipated to be end of September 2017.
The new facility is seeking funding support to purchase dementia specific interactive equipment that will engage people who are experiencing early signs of dementia.
Currently around 244 people each day are joining the population of 413,000 Australians with dementia.
This equipment costs $11,000 per unit and we are looking to purchase two for our high needs activity rooms. If you would like to make a donation please click here.
