Our application process follows a step by step procedure
1. Advertisement of position
All jobs advertised online have a Position Description (PD) with the requirements as well as the key selection criteria. All applications should include a resume, cover letter and a letter addressing the key selection criteria. Applications must be forwarded to careers@diversitat.org.au.
Please note that, as per the automatic reply, we thank you for your interest. If you do not hear from us shortly to progress to the next stage, it means that your application has not been selected.
You are welcome to contact us for feedback and to apply again.
2. Closure of advertisement and candidates shortlisted
Applications must be sent to careers@diversitat.org.au by the closing date to ensure your application is being considered. All applications are reviewed and assessed against the key selection criteria, including your qualifications and experience. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted to arrange an interview.
3. Interviews
The selection panel consists of at least two interviewers asking questions on your experience and suitability for work at Diversitat. Your answers during the interview will be documented and reviewed at a later date to determine if you are the successful candidate.
You may be asked to attend more than one interview. If this is the case, you may meet with different interviewers.
Diversitat uses behavioural interview questions, which means that we ask you to provide examples of your past experience. We invite you to prepare your interviews thoroughly with the help of the PD.
4. Further checks (references, police check, WWC, DWEL)
We take pride in recruiting highly skilled candidates who share our values. To help us in the process, we will conduct Reference Checks, Police Check, Disability Worker Exclusion List Check and you will have to provide us with a current Victorian Employee Working with Children’s Check. These checks are mandatory and must be satisfactory.
5. Offer
The successful candidate will be offered the position after the thorough process as described. Further information will be discussed, including staff benefits and start date.
Candidates who were interviewed and not successful will be also be contacted.
6. Onboarding
Shortly after you have accepted your offer a contract and a new starter pack including all payroll and relevant paperwork, will be given to you. Once you start with us, you will be invited to a full orientation day. Your direct supervisor will also provide you an induction at the location you are based. Further professional development opportunities will be available.
