Gimme Shelter, The Workers Club, Spinning Half and Diversitat present Gimme Shelter, a grocery fundraiser for Geelong’s asylum-seeker and refugee families. Held in Refugee Week, all proceeds from Gimme Shelter will buy supermarket cards to help vulnerable families with their day-to-day living needs. The cards will be distributed by Diversitat who currently supports over 1,600 refugees in the region.

Dan Brodie is Australia’s twice Aria-nominated globetrotting rock n’ roll troubadour. He’s toured the U.S., U.K. and Europe, and performed alongside The Strokes, Steve Earle, The White Stripes and Gillian Welch. Onstage, Dan just drips with authenticity and charisma.

Freya Josephine Hollick is the real deal. From the Victorian Goldfields, Freya is a folk-singer/ songwriter on the rise whose haunting voice is both fragile and powerful. You won’t get many more chances to see this lady close up.

Also performing is the Bellarine Peninsula’s own Sarah Carroll, who launched the epic “Star Parade” album in March with new band The Left Wing, and rising Melbourne quintet Riflebirds.

Between performances, punters also have the chance to bid on a range of great items donated by Geelong’s business community. Come along and be part of a fantastic night! Tickets at
