Mamma Mia trip

On Saturday 15th September, our lucky participants from the Fun Expo ventured up to Melbourne and stayed overnight to see MAMMA MIA in theatre!! This was the final part of our FUN project funded by the Department of Health and Human Development (DHHS) for participants who are HACPYP, under 65 years of aged and not funded by the NDIS.

To say the least, the show was fantastic! It was absolutely hilarious and our participants couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces. We all enjoyed staying overnight in a Luxe Hotel with a buffet breakfast and the hotel even surprised us with a rose each!  What a lovely end to top off a truly memorable weekend!

The project overall has been a HUGE achievement and we have been very successful in identifying some individuals who were in need of social support services. We were able to create social inclusion and opportunities which they otherwise wouldn’t be able to participate in.

I would like to say a massive THANK-YOU to our participants, volunteers, bi-lingual workers and of course all staff for your hard work. It is very much appreciated and was made special because of each individuals input!  MAMMA MIA THAT WAS FUN!!!
