VCAL Youth Students kick off 2016

School is back, and four weeks into the term we’ve settled into a new year of study, adventure, fun, planning, study, friendships, study, and adventure. And study. But mostly friendships.

Nearly forty students over two days kicked off the program with our annual icebreaker at Queenscliff. We checked out the marina, climbed the tower for a view of Swan Bay, the Heads, and (of course) Queenscliff itself; we rambled along the beach & along the historic jetty, then through the park to our traditional BBQ opposite the old Vue Grand…

A Rockpool Ramble at Point Lonsdale (see photo) capped the day & aided digestion, then it was back to the classroom for some more hard slog (<< joke!) VCAL at Diversitat Youth is serious business, but that doesn’t mean that it can’t be fun too. We’ve already had some students hit the surf at Torquay as part of their VCAL PDS Unit, and in Numeracy Chess (see photo) is an indispensable part of the curriculum. “How?” you ask. Well, you’ll just have to come along & check out the program if you want the answer to that particular question! We still have places available in our VCAL programs - give us a call to enquire about a position today (03)522 33222 Beach Day
