Diversity Symposium

In April last year, Geelong was to host its very first Diversity Symposium developed by three of the region’s peak diversity groups – Diversitat, Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-Operative and Geelong Rainbow Inc.

The COVID outbreak postponed what was sure to be a 2020 highlight for the health service providers of Geelong.

Although a new date has now been set, the inaugural symposium will be a COVID-resilient, exclusive online event that will be adapted to meet any restrictions announced at the time of the event.

Celebration, interaction and insights remain key components of the symposium which will include three online, interactive cultural safety training sessions as well as DIVERSITY GOODY BAGS & RAINBOW UMBRELLAS delivered to our participants in their home or business.

Entertainment, will of course be an important part of the event and we’re sure to have you grooving along to the culturally inspired beats.

Attendees will receive a certificate of participation to the only locally provided cultural training in Geelong.
