Diversitat’s Responsible Gambling Program is targeted at culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities in the Barwon region. The program focuses on building the capacity of CALD communities and individuals to make informed decisions regarding how they manage their money and their gambling behaviours, as well as providing information on the suite of Gambler’s Help services and where to seek further assistance.
We run sessions for various community groups on gambling and gambling related harm, including its impact on affected others such as family.
Diversitat acknowledges that gambling isn’t an issue for everyone, so as a preventative measure we also deliver education sessions to newly arrived communities in order to enhance peoples financial literacy.
The Responsible Gambling Program operates in conjunction with Bethany Community Support, who provide support from trained financial counsellors.
