Sudanese Family Day in Colac

What a great day we had yesterday at Sacred Heart!

Diversitat worked with the Colac Sudanese Australian Community and invited guest speakers from Melbourne to discuss various issues, then we had a lovely BBQ lunch, thanks to the 2nd Colac Sea Scout team.

Thanks to all those who contributed on the day including Richard Riordan, Councillor Chris Potter, Father Michael, the team from Colac Police, Geoff and Alison and our volunteers Lesley and James. Also to Kim from BCYF for her support with family entertainment and information.

Special thanks to Sacred Heart for the use of the area, and to the lovely Achol Atem who entertained us with her beautiful Sudanese songs.

Mr Ring Mayer and Good Sheppard Microfinance supported us with their presentations. Thank you all for making it such a great day.
