We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded a major Commonwealth contract to provide refugee and migrant settlement across Victoria’s south-west region.
The Humanitarian Settlement Program contract was awarded to AMES Australia and, as their partner organisation, Diversitat will be working with newly arrived refugees and asylum seekers to help them to become fully-fledged Australian citizens. Our consortium has an excellent reputation in the delivery of refugee settlement and we are committed to our clients and the importance of building sustainability communities.
The new HSP contract also includes Complex Case Support and also has a stronger emphasis on employment which we are very eager to engage with.
This is a major win for our Settlement team and the organisation as the tender is for 5 years with a possible extension for another 3 and 2 years, so potentially 10 years in total.
Refugee settlement is an economic and social stimulator for Geelong, and our refugee communities have always played a major part in working hard to build this city and region. Through their skills, life experience and abilities new migrants bring a commitment to Australian citizenship and a love for community.
